Kantar Futures is looking for full-time interns available to work in its Chicago office. Interns will get hands-on experience working with Kantar Futures’ proprietary futures and foresight tools and techniques, assisting with the management and coordination of qualitative consumer research (such as focus groups and interviews), and contributing to strategic recommendations and report development for a range of clients. Projects may include brand positioning and strategy, innovation and early stage product development, and looking at future scenarios such as “The future of food” or “The future of deodorant.” There will be opportunities to work as part of a multi-skilled team and gain exposure to a range of projects and colleagues with complementary skills. In addition, intern responsibilities will include active participation in social media efforts, desk research for various projects and assistance with administrative tasks such as preparation for workshops, documenting consumer research materials like scrapbooks and photos, and generally being an eager spare set of hands.
Ideal candidates are insightful, strategic thinkers, highly attuned to the world and the people around them. They have a strong academic background, a willingness to take on responsibility, and a keen interest in marketing, general business, and current affairs. As well, they have excellent written and verbal communication skills, extensive experience with all Microsoft Office products, and strong internet research abilities. Video editing and/or graphic design skills are a plus. Candidates do NOT have to be studying marketing, communications, or business – humanities, liberal arts, and fine arts majors are all encouraged to apply.
